10 Seeds Callistemon citrinus Red Bottlebrush Evergreen Flowering Shrub

Callistemon citrinus, commonly known as Red Bottlebrush, is an evergreen flowering shrub prized for its distinctive crimson brush-like flower spikes and fine aromatic foliage. This Australian native brings year-round structure and a bold splash of color to warm-climate gardens, borders, and container plantings. The vibrant cylindrical blooms appear most heavily through the warmer months and are highly attractive to hummingbirds and pollinating insects.
Callistemon citrinus works beautifully as a specimen shrub, hedge, or patio container plant where its naturally compact branching can be managed with light pruning. The narrow leaves release a light citrus-like scent when crushed, adding sensory interest to the garden. It tolerates coastal conditions, heat, and periods of dryness once established, making it a versatile choice for low-maintenance landscapes.
