10 Bareroot Plants Ozark Beauty Everbearing Strawberry

Ozark Beauty is a classic everbearing strawberry prized by home gardeners for its ability to produce fruit through the growing season rather than in a single concentrated flush. Plants form compact, tidy mounds of dark green foliage and yield medium to large, bright red berries with a sweet, aromatic flavor. Supplied as bareroot plants, they are ready to establish quickly once planted in a suitable site, making them a reliable choice for beds, borders, and containers alike.

These strawberries work well in edible landscapes, kitchen gardens, patio containers, and hanging baskets, where the trailing habit and attractive foliage add ornamental value. The berries are versatile in the kitchen, enjoyed fresh, frozen, or used in jams, desserts, and preserves. Everbearing types typically crop in early summer, again in midsummer, and often once more in late summer to early fall when conditions are favorable. Bareroot plants should be set out while dormant and kept evenly watered during establishment. Remove the first season's blossoms to encourage strong root and crown development for future harvests.
