10 Bare-root Hay Scented Fern Dennstaedtia punctilobula

Hay Scented Fern is a hardy perennial fern known for its lacy, light green fronds and its distinctive sweet scent reminiscent of fresh hay, especially when the foliage is brushed or crushed. It spreads readily to form a lush, low-maintenance groundcover and brings a soft, natural texture to shaded gardens, woodland plantings, and naturalized areas.
This fern works well as a woodland groundcover, a filler among shrubs, or a companion to other shade-loving perennials. It emerges in spring and grows vigorously through the season, gradually colonizing open shaded ground. Fronds can be used in fresh or dried floral arrangements for their fine texture.
