1 Live Plant Sweet Woodruff Galium odoratum Shade Ground Cover

Sweet Woodruff, Galium odoratum, is a low-growing herbaceous perennial that forms a dense carpet of bright green foliage in shaded areas. Its whorled leaves and delicate white spring flowers make it a classic choice for woodland gardens, shaded borders, and naturalized ground cover plantings.
Often used as an ornamental ground cover beneath trees and shrubs, Sweet Woodruff spreads steadily to fill bare shade. Its foliage carries a sweet, hay-like fragrance when dried, and the plant pairs well with ferns, hostas, and other shade-loving companions in mixed borders and cottage garden settings.
