1 Live Plant Golden Rain Tree Starter Plant Koelreuteria paniculata 1 Year Old 3 Inch Tall

A young starter plant of Koelreuteria paniculata, commonly called golden rain tree, reaching about 3 inches tall at roughly one year old. This species is valued for its compound foliage and its late-season display of small yellow blossoms that give way to showy, papery seed capsules, making it an appealing specimen for temperate landscapes and patio containers while young. Its manageable small size makes it a practical choice for growers looking to establish a young tree that develops character with age.

Golden rain tree works well as an ornamental accent in beds, borders, or large containers, where it can be grown on for transplanting into a permanent position. It is a deciduous, vase-shaped tree that puts on fresh green pinnate leaves in spring and follows with panicles of bright yellow flowers in summer. The subsequent inflated, lantern-like capsules extend the seasonal interest into autumn. Provide a sunny site with well-drained soil, water young plants regularly while establishing, and give it room to spread as it matures.
