1 Live Plant Florida Special Pineapple Ananas Comosus Tropical Fruit Starter Plant

The Florida Special Pineapple is a vigorous tropical bromeliad prized for its sweet, golden-yellow fruit and striking architectural form. As a live starter plant, it arrives ready to establish in warm, sunny settings, growing steadily into a bold specimen that adds texture and tropical character to both gardens and containers. Its spiky green foliage and distinctive silhouette make it an attractive ornamental even before the fruit develops, appealing to edible gardeners and plant collectors alike.

This plant performs beautifully in tropical and subtropical landscapes as a striking border, patio accent, or focal point in a mixed bed. It also grows well in large containers where it can be moved indoors during cooler months. A slow but rewarding grower, it produces offsets over time that can be separated to propagate new plants. The fruit is enjoyed fresh, juiced, or grilled, and the plant itself brings long-lasting foliage interest to any warm-climate collection.
