1 Live Plant Blue Bird Hibiscus Rose of Sharon Althea Hardy Flowering Shrub

Blue Bird Hibiscus, also known as Rose of Sharon or Althea, is a deciduous flowering shrub prized for its large, single blooms in a soft violet-blue hue with a contrasting crimson center. It flowers prolifically from midsummer into early fall, when many other shrubs have finished blooming, making it a standout accent in mixed borders, hedges, and foundation plantings. Its upright, vase-shaped habit and reliable performance in a wide range of conditions have made it a long-standing favorite among home gardeners.
This shrub works well as a specimen plant, in perennial borders, or as an informal flowering hedge, and its blooms are attractive to pollinators and hummingbirds. It tolerates heat, humidity, and urban conditions once established. Plants ship in a 1-quart container, ready to be transplanted into the garden or a larger pot.
