1 Live Plant Black Cherry Tree 12 in Tall Prunus serotina Bare Root

Black cherry (Prunus serotina) is a fast-growing North American native tree valued for its graceful form, spring blooms, and small dark fruits. This bare root sapling arrives 12-24 inches tall with a well-developed root system ready for planting in a permanent location.
A single tree makes an attractive specimen or naturalized addition to yards, hedgerows, and wildlife plantings. It produces pendulous clusters of small white flowers in spring followed by tiny cherries that ripen dark purple to black in late summer. The foliage turns warm yellow to red in autumn. Birds and other wildlife are drawn to the fruit, and the tree lends itself to native landscape and ornamental plantings. Plant promptly upon arrival in a sunny to partly shaded site with well-drained soil.
