1 Live Plant Althea Hibiscus syriacus Rose of Sharon 12 Inch Starter Plant Hardy Shrub

Rose of Sharon, Hibiscus syriacus, is a deciduous flowering shrub admired for its long summer display of large, tropical-looking blooms on a hardy, easy-to-grow plant. This starter plant arrives at roughly 12 to 24 inches tall, ready to establish in the landscape and grow into a showy multi-stemmed shrub.
Ideal as a flowering hedge, mixed border specimen, or patio accent, Rose of Sharon produces abundant single blooms with a prominent center from midsummer into fall. It adapts to a range of soils, tolerates heat and humidity, and attracts pollinators to the garden. Blooms appear on new wood, so light pruning in late winter encourages vigorous flowering and a tidy, upright form.
