Timberlane Gardens is a premier manufacturer of cedar wood raised garden beds and I'm excited to feature 5 new garden bed kits. Each kit is built from Select Cedar wood out of the Timberlane Gardens facility in Homer Glen, Illinois.
Select Cedar vs. other woods vs. metal: Timberlane Gardens chooses their Select Cedar wood based on rot resistance and food-safe gardening. Raised garden beds made from other materials may leach unwanted chemicals into your soil and, ultimately, your food.
Tool-Free Assembly: Each Timberlane Gardens raised garden bed features precision joinery - just slide the cedar boards together and lock in place with the supplied wooden pins. No tools needed!

My favorite of the new products is the Double-Deep 6x6 raised garden bed. I haven't seen many 6x6 garden beds on the market so it's always nice to see different sizes for differently shaped garden spaces. The included joining brackets allows for extra depth and more serious planting in a smaller space. There's also a set of 2 6x6 garden beds for growers with a larger gardening footprint to work with. With beds this large I like the idea of building a compost pile into the middle to constantly feed your garden!

Next up is the 2x6 2-tiered cedar raised garden bed. This garden bed is small enough to fit in many spaces but the double tiers give you the versatility to grow different types of plants in a smaller area. You could even place the top tier in the middle for a pyramid effect with 3 distinct growing areas!

Next is another variation of the 2-tiered 2x6 bed but to me the 1x6 top tier makes this the perfect 2x6 2-tiered raised flower bed.

Taking one step up would be the 3x6 2-tiered garden bed. This setup is great to grow tall plants in the 1x6 area - such as sunflowers or beans - leaving you the larger 2x6 space for smaller crops.
