This species brings an exotic, tropical look to trellises, arbors, and containers, and its slender stems and glossy foliage make it an elegant vertical accent through the warm season.

Grown as an ornamental flowering vine for borders, pergolas, and patio planters, Gloriosa carsonii performs best with a support structure and plenty of warmth. It produces blooms on new growth during the growing season, and the vine dies back to its tuber in cooler conditions, returning the following season where hardy. Ideal for gardeners seeking a distinctive climbing flower with showy, long-lasting color.
Species: Gloriosa carsonii
Type: Tuberous climbing vine
Plant_Habit: Climbing, twining
Sun: Full sun to part shade
Soil: Well-drained, fertile, sandy loam
Zones: 8-11
Germination: 21-30 days at 70-80F, soak seed 24 hours before sowing
Sowing: 1/4 inch deep, keep moist but not wet
Spacing: 8-12 inches
Notes: Provide a trellis or support for climbing growth

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_84850ac7-527a-413d-a7f2-6bd05f932726.png?v=1791896498
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/5-seeds-gloriosa-carsonii-purple-gloriosa-lily-climbing-vine-flower-seeds
