This cold-hardy citrus tree is admired for its compact, bushy growth habit and attractive, glossy evergreen foliage, making it a versatile addition to container gardens, greenhouses, or sheltered outdoor spots.

This limequat is well-suited for ornamental growing in patio pots or as a small specimen tree, where its fruit can be used in beverages, marmalades, or culinary dishes for a bright citrus zing. It demonstrates reliable growth in mild to warm climates and can tolerate cooler winters better than many citrus types, though it benefits from protection in frost-prone areas. Expect a slow to moderate growth rate, with trees beginning to bear fruit in a few years under favorable conditions.
Species: Citrus x floridana
Type: Citrus hybrid
Plant_Habit: Small evergreen tree
Sun: Full sun
Soil: Well-drained, slightly acidic
Days_to_Harvest: Not applicable
Zones: 8-11
Germination: 14-28 days
Sowing: Sow seeds 1/2 inch deep in moist seed-starting mix; keep warm and lightly moist
Spacing: 8-10 feet apart when planting outdoors
Notes: Grows well in containers; protect from hard freeze

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_d1cd2616-a1e7-440a-a319-e74a375bb66a.png?v=1791895514
