Native to the southern United States and Mexico, this hardy, drought-tolerant plant adds a whimsical touch and a soft, natural look to sunny borders, rock gardens, or wildflower meadows. Its airy, mounded form and long bloom season make it a lovely, easygoing choice for gardeners seeking a unique sensory experience. \u003cbr\u003e\nThis perennial is ideal for ornamental use in beds, borders, and prairie-style plantings, and it also serves as an excellent nectar source for pollinators. It performs best in well-drained, moderately fertile soil and thrives in full sun, requiring little supplemental water once established. Start seeds indoors in late winter or direct sow in early spring, lightly pressing them into the soil surface, as they need light to germinate. Space plants about 12 inches apart, and enjoy a long-lasting display from late spring through fall.
