It makes an attractive ornamental hedge or specimen plant and rewards growers with an unusual tropical-tasting harvest in mild climates.
The red-and-white flowers are edible and add a striking touch to gardens, while the oval green fruit is enjoyed fresh, scooped and eaten, or used in jams, jellies, and baked goods. Plants grow steadily into a dense, bushy form and respond well to light pruning for hedging. A productive and decorative choice for warm, sheltered gardens and containers.
Species: Acca sellowiana
Variety: Pineapple Guava
Type: Perennial evergreen shrub or small tree
Plant_Habit: Upright, bushy, dense
Sun: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Well-draining, fertile, slightly acidic
Days_to_Harvest: 3 to 5 years from seed
Zones: 8 to 11
Germination: 3 to 6 weeks at 65 to 75F
Sowing: Surface sow, lightly cover, keep moist
Spacing: 8 to 15 feet apart
Notes: Edible flowers and fruit; drought tolerant once established

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/il_fullxfull.8016769131_d5dj_a94ded76-152e-44fa-8df5-1567fa2a3bc4.jpg?v=1791899177
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/30-seeds-pineapple-guava-acca-sellowiana-feijoa-fruit-shrub
