It forms a compact, thicket-forming habit that works well in mixed borders, wildlife plantings, and edible landscapes.

The fruit ripens in early to mid summer and is excellent for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and preserves. The dense branching and spring bloom make it an attractive ornamental choice in native and cottage garden settings, and the trees settle in readily once planted.
Species: Prunus angustifolia
Variety: Chickasaw Plum
Type: Deciduous fruiting tree
Plant_Habit: Small, thicket-forming, upright spreading
Sun: Full sun
Soil: Well-drained, sandy to loamy
Days_to_Harvest: 2 to 4 years after planting
Zones: 5 to 9
Germination: Not applicable
Sowing: Not applicable
Spacing: 10 to 15 feet apart
Notes: Ships as a 12 inch tall bare root plant; keep roots moist before planting

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_5c5690fe-6f9c-485d-9489-42f7011fd868.png?v=1791897616
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/3-live-plants-chickasaw-plum-tree-12-inch-tall-prunus-angustifolia-bare-root
