It develops a graceful vase-shaped canopy and offers multi-season interest with reddish-purple fall color and distinctive red berry-like fruit clusters that ripen in late summer.

This tree works well as a specimen, patio tree, or mixed border planting, and it can also be grown in containers while young. It prefers a site with consistent moisture and good drainage and performs best where it receives some protection from intense afternoon sun. It grows at a moderate rate with a broadly upright habit and provides structure and seasonal color in the landscape.
Species: Cornus kousa
Type: Deciduous flowering tree
Plant_Habit: Upright, vase-shaped, broadly spreading with age
Sun: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil
Zones: 5-8
Germination: Not applicable
Spacing: 20-30 feet apart
Notes: Bare root trees should be planted while dormant; water regularly during establishment

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_cc4db97d-1b9d-4304-bc74-44c0b9c5c291.png?v=1791897604
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/3-kousa-dogwood-bare-root-trees-cornus-kousa-live-plant-flowering-ornamental
