This cheerful bloomer brings long-lasting color to meadows, borders, and cut flower gardens, and it is a classic choice for pollinator-friendly landscapes and naturalized plantings. Plants form upright clumps and bloom generously through the summer, with each flower lasting well both on the plant and in a vase.
Use Gloriosa Daisy in cottage gardens, wildflower meadows, prairie-style plantings, and mass color beds, or grow it as a dependable cut flower. It performs best in full sun with well-drained soil and tolerates heat and dry spells once established. Plants may self-sow where conditions are favorable, returning year after year in many gardens. Start seeds indoors before the last frost or sow directly outdoors after soil has warmed.
Species: Rudbeckia hirta
Type: Herbaceous perennial often grown as an annual
Plant_Habit: Upright clumping
Sun: Full sun to light shade
Soil: Well-drained, average fertility
Days_to_Harvest: 90 to 120 days from seed to bloom
Zones: 3 to 9
Germination: 7 to 14 days at 70 to 75F
Sowing: Surface sow, lightly press into soil, do not bury deeply
Spacing: 12 to 18 inches apart
Notes: Deadhead to extend bloom; allow some seed heads to mature for reseeding

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/il_fullxfull.7872871532_j473_684ed4cb-40be-4a3b-b22f-e5cc3fccad2d.jpg?v=1791899845
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/250-seeds-gloriosa-daisy-rudbeckia-hirta-black-eyed-susan-perennial-wildflower
