This listing offers healthy live plants approximately 8 to 12 inches tall, ready to establish in the landscape or a large container. Known for its pyramidal shape, large drooping leaves, and maroon spring blooms, Paw Paw makes an excellent specimen, shade tree, or edible landscape addition. Its fruit is the largest edible fruit native to North America and is enjoyed fresh, in desserts, and in baked goods.

Paw Paw performs best in full sun to partial shade with moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is a clonal or seedling selection suited to temperate climates and can be grown as an ornamental shade tree or as part of a home orchard. Plants benefit from consistent moisture and some wind protection when young. For fruit production, plant at least two genetically distinct trees to support cross-pollination, as Paw Paw is not self-fertile. The foliage turns yellow in autumn, adding seasonal interest.
Species: Asimina triloba
Variety: Paw Paw
Type: Live Plant
Plant_Habit: Deciduous tree, pyramidal when young, spreading with age
Sun: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Moist, well-drained, slightly acidic loam
Days_to_Harvest: Not applicable
Zones: 5-9
Germination: Not applicable
Sowing: Not applicable
Spacing: 15-20 feet apart
Notes: Plant at least two genetically distinct trees for cross-pollination and fruit set; protect young plants from strong wind

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/il_fullxfull.7985770474_swpj_6655c615-a91b-4bb3-86fe-023e4aad9db6.jpg?v=1791898486
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/25-live-plants-paw-paw-asimina-triloba-8-12-inches-tall-edible-fruit-native-tree
