20-seeds-virginia-creeper-parthenocissus-quinquefolia
20 Seeds Virginia Creeper Parthenocissus quinquefolia

Virginia Creeper is a vigorous deciduous climbing vine grown for its distinctive five-lobed green foliage and brilliant crimson-red fall color. It climbs by tendrils with adhesive tips, quickly covering fences, trellises, walls, and arbors with dense seasonal interest. This cold-hardy North American native vine is valued by gardeners for its fast establishment, lush summer canopy, and dramatic autumn display.
In the landscape, Virginia Creeper works well as a ground cover on slopes, a screen on sturdy structures, and a trailing accent in large containers where it can cascade freely. The foliage shifts from bright green to rich scarlet in autumn, and small dark berries follow the inconspicuous greenish flowers. Plants grow rapidly once established and may need routine trimming to keep them within bounds; provide a strong support where vertical coverage is desired. Grow in average, well-drained soil and give it room to spread.
Species: Parthenocissus quinquefolia
Type: Deciduous climbing vine
Plant Habit: Vigorous trailing and climbing
Sun: Full sun to part shade
Soil: Average, well-drained
Zones: 3 to 9
Germination: Cold stratification recommended; sow 1/4 inch deep
Sowing: Start indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost or direct sow after stratification
Spacing: 36 to 60 inches
Days to Germinate: 21 to 60
Notes: Provide a trellis or support for climbing; prune as needed to control spread

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_316728db-9a4e-4f52-b202-760e7d5783b7.png?v=1791898034
