Plants form graceful clumps of lacy blue-green foliage and bloom generously in late spring to early summer, adding airy color and movement to borders, cottage gardens, and woodland plantings. The nodding, spurred flowers are a favorite of hummingbirds and other pollinators and also work well as cut flowers.
This easy-to-grow perennial is versatile in the landscape, ideal for mixed beds, shade gardens, naturalized areas, and container plantings. It tolerates a range of light conditions, performing best with some afternoon shade in hotter climates. A single sowing yields a wide array of flower colors, and established clumps return each year and gently self-sow when conditions are favorable. Start seeds indoors in late winter or sow directly after the last frost for blooms the following season.
Species: Aquilegia x hybrida
Variety: McKana
Type: Perennial
Plant_Habit: Upright clumping
Sun: Full sun to part shade
Soil: Well-drained, moist, organically rich
Days_to_Harvest: Not applicable
Zones: 3-8
Germination: 21-28 days at 65-70F; light aids germination
Sowing: Surface sow, press lightly into soil, do not cover deeply
Spacing: 12-18 inches
Notes: Cool-season starter; blooms in late spring to early summer, self-sows readily

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/il_fullxfull.8071113420_2qsv_7219587c-a8c6-473d-93e9-921e0a6d4ba6.jpg?v=1791898917
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/100-seeds-mckana-columbine-aquilegia-x-hybrida-multicolor-perennial-flower
