100-seeds-empress-candytuft-iberis-amara
100 Seeds Empress Candytuft Iberis amara

Empress Candytuft is a hardy annual grown for its compact mounds of small, fragrant white flowers that bloom generously from late spring into summer. Reaching around 8 to 12 inches tall, it works well at the front of borders, along walkways, in rock gardens, and in mixed containers where its tidy habit and long flowering period add bright, low-maintenance interest.

The dense flower clusters are long lasting when cut and pair nicely with other sun-loving annuals and perennials. It grows best in a sunny spot with well-drained soil and tolerates light drought once established; regular deadheading encourages continued bloom and a light self-seeding habit can carry plants into the following season in mild climates. Start seed indoors several weeks before the last frost or direct sow after danger of frost has passed, pressing seed lightly into the surface since light aids germination.
Species: Iberis amara
Type: Hardy annual
Plant_Habit: Compact, mounding
Sun: Full sun to light shade
Soil: Well-drained, average fertility
Days_to_Harvest: 60 to 85
Zones: 3 to 9
Germination: 14 to 21 days at 65 to 70F
Sowing: Surface sow, light needed for germination
Spacing: 8 to 12 inches
Notes: Deadhead to extend bloom; allow some spent flowers to self-seed

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/il_fullxfull.7897995678_5l73_06eb0f6b-ee14-4f0b-9ea0-4391dff37ff0.jpg?v=1791899664
