This montbretia variety is a long-standing garden favorite for its vivid color and vigorous growth habit in temperate landscapes.
The brilliant red flowers open along arching stems and are excellent for cut arrangements, while the clumping foliage adds architectural interest from spring through fall. Plant in a sunny border or cottage garden where the upright form can be appreciated, and allow the corms to naturalize for increasingly full displays in subsequent seasons.
Species: Crocosmia
Variety: Lucifer
Type: Perennial corm
Plant_Habit: Upright clumping
Sun: Full sun to partial shade
Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile
Days_to_Harvest: Not applicable
Zones: 5-9
Germination: 21-28 days at 18-21C
Sowing: Surface sow, lightly cover, keep moist
Spacing: 12-18 inches
Notes: Attracts hummingbirds; excellent cut flower

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_bcbcf76b-ebe2-4344-a217-56e769f4f482.png?v=1791895952
