It produces firm, sweet berries that ripen in summer and works well for home gardens, edible landscapes, and small fruit plantings. Plants arrive as starter plugs, ready to be established in the garden or a larger container.
Navaho blackberries are enjoyed fresh, baked into desserts, cooked into jams and preserves, or frozen for later use. The thornless canes make harvesting and routine care more comfortable than with standard blackberry types, and the plants perform best with full sun and consistent moisture. Space them where their upright habit and seasonal fruit can be appreciated.
Species: Rubus fruticosus
Variety: Navaho
Type: Thornless blackberry
Plant_Habit: Erect, clumping perennial
Sun: Full sun
Soil: Well-drained, fertile, slightly acidic
Days_to_Harvest: Fruit typically ripens in summer, often June to July
Zones: 5-9
Germination: Not applicable
Sowing: Not applicable
Spacing: 3-4 feet apart in rows 6-8 feet apart
Notes: Starter plug; plant promptly and keep evenly moist while establishing

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_c8dfb36c-1e63-42c5-a0d8-2b1a7515dd82.png?v=1791897800
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/10-plant-plugs-navaho-thornless-blackberry-rubus-live-starter-plants
