The buds form in crimped, geometric shapes that resemble small faceted ornaments before unfolding into cup-like flowers, creating a display that stands out in woodland gardens, foundation plantings, and mixed borders. This plant is offered as a bare root specimen, which allows it to be shipped without soil and planted while dormant or semi-dormant.

Grown as an ornamental shrub, Mountain Laurel suits shade to part shade positions where its layered branching habit and year-round foliage add structure to the landscape. It combines well with rhododendrons, azaleas, ferns, and other acid-loving woodland companions, and its evergreen leaves provide winter interest after the blooms fade. Bare root plants establish best when planted in cool weather and kept consistently moist while roots develop. Moderate growth rate and a naturally rounded, dense form make it a long-lived addition to perennial beds and naturalized areas.
Species: Kalmia latifolia
Variety: Pink flowering selection
Type: Broadleaf evergreen shrub
Plant_Habit: Upright, dense, rounded with layered branches
Sun: Partial shade to dappled sun
Soil: Moist, well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter
Days_to_Harvest: Not applicable
Zones: 4 to 9
Germination: Not applicable
Sowing: Not applicable
Spacing: 4 to 6 feet apart
Notes: Plant bare root promptly in cool weather; keep evenly moist during establishment

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/il_fullxfull.7924771066_6gxx_45a53f7f-8f9a-440e-af02-923ab8690e9f.jpg?v=1791898407
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/1-live-plant-pink-mountain-laurel-kalmia-latifolia-broadleaf-evergreen-shrub
