This 4 inch tall, one-year-old bare root plant is well-suited for home gardens and edible landscapes, offering an easy-to-manage fruiting shrub once established. Rubus fruticosa plants produce canes that benefit from full sun and consistent moisture for vigorous growth and reliable berry production.
Navajo Blackberry works well in kitchen gardens, berry patches, and mixed fruit plantings. The thornless canes make harvesting and routine care more comfortable compared to thorny types. Canes are biennial, producing fruit on second-year wood, so a simple pruning routine supports ongoing harvests. Plant in a sunny spot with fertile, well-draining soil and provide support or a trellis as growth develops.
Species: Rubus fruticosa
Variety: Navajo
Type: Thornless blackberry
Plant_Habit: Upright, erect canes
Sun: Full sun
Soil: Fertile, well-draining
Days_to_Harvest: Not applicable
Zones: 5-9
Germination: Not applicable
Sowing: Not applicable
Spacing: 3-4 feet apart
Notes: Bare root plants should be kept moist before planting

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_0ac58226-fce9-4f6c-9e6d-e6d3bef4ec8c.png?v=1791897223
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/1-live-plant-navajo-blackberry-4-inch-tall-1-year-old-bare-root-rubus-fruticosa
