Its narrow, curling leaves add fine texture through the growing season, turning soft yellow in autumn. This fast growing ornamental tree makes a fascinating focal point in gardens and is equally suited to moist areas and water margins. Supplied as a bare root plant, it establishes readily when planted during the dormant season.

Corkscrew Willow is primarily grown as an ornamental specimen, valued for its spiraling branches that are popular in floral arrangements and crafts. It performs best in full sun with consistently moist, well drained soil and tolerates wet sites along ponds and streams. Regular pruning in late winter or early spring encourages vigorous new curly growth and helps shape the canopy. Space trees to allow their naturally spreading habit and provide room for their rounded form and fine textured foliage to develop.
Species: Salix matsudana
Variety: Tortuosa
Type: Deciduous tree
Plant Habit: Upright, spreading, rounded
Sun: Full sun
Soil: Moist, well drained; tolerates wet sites
Zones: 4 to 8
Germination: Not applicable
Sowing: Not applicable
Spacing: 20 to 30 feet apart
Notes: Plant bare root in dormant season

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0717/4648/6408/files/download_2e947022-d15c-44b3-8f5a-a43cf92af772.png?v=1791897366
https://www.natesgardensupply.com/products/1-live-bare-root-plant-corkscrew-willow-tree-salix-matsudana-tortuosa-2-ft-tall
